Radiohead, Burning Witches, and Stop-Motion: Band Release New Single

Radiohead are here with a new single from their forthcoming ninth studio album.

This will be the bands first album release since 2011’s “The King Of Limbs”.

“Burn The Witch” has been a whisper in the Radiohead sphere for many years.
Having first been acknowledged in the booklet for the band’s 2003 “Hail To The Thief” release, and the band has briefly conversed of craftsmanship perhaps even earlier than that.

The release of “Burn The Witch” was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle shrouded in mystery. This past April, the band sent out cards to some UK fans embellished with the words “Sing the song of sixpence that goes – burn the witch – we know where you live” (quite literally). The pamphlets included Radiohead’s logo. Accompanying was a snippet of the song, following a complete online blackout from the band. Their website and social media forums had gone entirely blank, before the announcement of a new single and world tour.

“Burn The Witch” is the band’s first release since last December when they shared their would have been contribution to the latest in the Bond film franchise, “Spectre”. The single is now available for purchase, and the stop motion video is available to view in its entirety. The narrative of villagers was directed by Chris Hopewell.
Radiohead will be swinging through New York, LA, and a handful of festivals in the US, as well as several stops abroad.
