Kesha Displays All Of Her Bright Colors On New Album
Kesha is back on the musical scene with a long-awaited new album!
“Rainbow” hits record store shelves and airwaves today.
The Nashville resident, who was embattled with former producer, Dr. Luke over a sexual assault allegation, was contractually prohibited from releasing music that was not with the producer.
Fortunately, Kesha’s nightmares are subsiding enough to allow “Rainbow” to shine so bright.
The songstress has been extremely open about the personal new music, describing the title as a metaphor for hope, and a prominent symbol for the LGBTQ community (one that Kesha has always been a vocal supporter of).
The album includes several notable collabortaions with the likes of her musician mom, superstar Dolly Parton, Eagles Of Death Metal, and The Dap-Kings horn players.
The talented songwriter has penned every track on her 4th LP.
“Praying”, the album’s first single, is an exceptional ballad of strength, empathy, and hope for those who have done wrong to find peace (can I also mention “THAT high note”??).
The singer’s 14 track presentation showcases not only her vocal range and musical abilities, but a forthright honesty that is more prevalent than anything we have seen from her yet.
The album marks a beautiful sonic evolution for the “Tik Tok” gal, showcasing her talents in a more raw way than ever before. Her voice is powerful, the music is profound, the lyrics are astounding.
The album feels like not only a rebirth, but a lifetime in the making, as though this is the record Kesha has always intended to make – both fun, and full of statements of standing alone, music for kids who don’t quite fit right in.
“Rainbow” is chock full of messages of light, perseverance, transformation, empathy, and even a track inspired from spotting UFOs.
Kesha has emerged an absolute champion on the other side of pain, and will embark this September on her first solo tour in 4 years throughout the US and Canada.
