Madonna Announces Veronica Electronica Album

Madonna has announced the release of her long-rumored alter-ego project, Veronica Electronica. The album will include both rare and unreleased remixed versions from her 1998 album, Ray of Light. The announcement was made on June 5th via her website.

Approaching its 30 year anniversary, Ray of Light was a pillar in Madonna’s discography that powerfully cemented her as a force of transformation, experimentation and reinvention. The release, which was the singer-songwriter’s seven studio album, contained several hits like “Frozen”, “Ray of Light” and “The Power of Goodbye”, all of which earned a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart.

Having celebrated her 66th birthday, Madonna continues to push the envelope and remain relevant in the music world.
In an Instagram post, Madonna reflected, “Making my Ray of Light album was a seminal moment in my life as an artist. I was going through a huge metamorphosis. I had given birth to my daughter Lola. I had found my spiritual path and I was ready to shed a new skin and take a road less traveled by.”
She continued, “I ventured into electronic music with William Orbit and I created an alter ego, taking one of my middle names- and Veronica Electronica was born. Meet my other half.😜.”

The album will be available through both digital formats and tangibly on silver vinyl. Veronica Electronica drops on July 25th, 2025.
