OXYMORRONS Shine Ahead Of Album Release

Brooklyn natives, OXYMORRONS put on a delightful set at the Crofoot’s Pike Room in Pontiac on September 16th, 2016.

The powerful team was opening for one man rap wonder, Astronautalis.

Whilst clad in masks, the two vocal leaders of OXYMORRONS, brothers K.I. and Dave Bellevue took the stage. As they later described, the masks represented the freedom to unite and take off all inhibitions to be yourself. Freedom, fun, and love seemed to be the main messages of the talented lads. OXYMORRONS showcased material from their upcoming release, “Complex But Basic”, which is due out next month.

OXYMORRONS are no strangers to buzz, having advertisements with the likes of Converse, and a musical spot on ESPN’s Sportscenter for their latest single, “Asleep”. The track was included in the band’s set.

The five piece band made sure to introduce each member, and include a spot for each to shine his solo talents. The gentleman displays both appreciation for the audience, as well as musical style influences from all over the map.

If not fans beforehand, the entranced audience was certainly by the end of the evening. The Pike Room group seemed more than disappointed when OXYMORRONS’ set came to a close.

The talented group will be touring throughout the United States well into November.
